The train line links Fuengirola to the resorts on the west of the Costa del Sol and Malaga via the airport. It also has a bus station where buses run not only around Fuengirola but to Malaga, via the airport, Benalmadena and Torremolinos. There is a good service that links the resorts to the east also, taking in Marbella, Estepona and Algeciras near Gibraltar along ‌the ‌way. ‌Having ‌good ‌transport ‌links has made the town ‌of Fuengirola ‌a popular ‌commuter ‌town which reflects in the increased number ‌of ‌residents ‌and ‌tourists ‌in ‌recent ‌times.
